How we open without damage
Professional lockout work is not forcing the door. We use tools that act on the mechanism, not on the door itself:
- Doors: picks and decoders matched to the specific cylinder type. The door, frame and usually the lock itself all survive intact.
- Cars: Lishi tools and specialist probes — no air wedges forced under the seal, no glass work, no marks on the paint.
- Steel doors (pladelet): a separate technique for Rav Bariach multi-point mechanisms.
If a lock is damaged internally and genuinely cannot be opened without destroying it, we tell you before starting and agree the cylinder replacement — you always know what you are paying for.
What not to do before we arrive
- Do not try to pick it yourself. Hairpins, knives and screwdrivers almost always wreck the mechanism — and a ₪150 opening becomes a ₪400 replacement.
- Do not pull at a broken key. It usually pushes the fragment deeper.
- Do not force the door. Repairing a steel door costs many times more than opening it.
- Be wary of "from ₪50" adverts. That pricing almost always turns into a very different figure once someone is at your door.

Worth saying plainly: before opening anything we ask you to confirm the property or vehicle is yours — a lease, vehicle registration, a bill in your name or ID showing the address. This is standard practice for any reputable locksmith, and it protects you first and foremost, because we would refuse anyone else asking us to open your door.
