A new tenant moves in, a remote gets dropped in the car park and run over, your teenager starts driving — duplicating a remote for an electric gate or a parking barrier is a quick job, but only if you know in advance which remote you have. We duplicate every type of remote on the market, including rolling-code remotes, from ₪150, and we come to you in Haifa and the Krayot.
Fixed code or rolling code — the difference that decides everything
Before talking about price or time, we need to know which remote you have. There are two main types, and they work in completely different ways:
- Fixed-code remote — sends the same code every time you press it. The new remote learns the code from the existing one, and in most cases the gate does not need to be touched at all. This is the simple, quick kind.
- Rolling-code remote — the code changes with every press, so simply copying the signal does not work. That is the whole point: nobody can "record" your remote and open the gate. Instead of copying, the new remote is registered in the gate's control unit — on some systems through a working remote, on others directly in the motor's control box. We do both.
📸 Not sure which remote you have? Send us a WhatsApp photo of the remote, front and back — and of the sticker inside it if you can. In most cases we identify the model within a minute and tell you up front what is needed and what it costs.
What is needed for the duplicate to work
- A working remote — the easy route. On most fixed-code systems, and on some rolling-code ones, that is all it takes.
- Access to the gate and motor — some rolling-code remotes need access to the gate's control unit. In an apartment building that is usually arranged with the building committee (va'ad bayit).
- No working remote at all? In most cases it can still be done — the remote is registered directly in the gate's control unit.
- The right frequency — most remotes in Israel work on 433 MHz and some on 868 MHz. A remote on the wrong frequency will not work even if it looks identical. One more reason to identify the model before we set off.
Which remotes we duplicate
Every common brand on the market — Motorline, Nice, BFT, CAME, FAAC and others — for electric gates, sliding and lifting car-park gates, and parking barriers.
One remote for several gates: in many cases a single multi-button remote can be registered — one button for the car-park gate, one for the pedestrian gate, one for the barrier — instead of three remotes in your pocket.

Building committee? Remotes for the whole building
New residents, tenants coming and going, broken and lost remotes — the building committee deals with it all the time. Orders of more than 10 remotes get a discounted price, but every building is different, so it starts with a short scoping call: which gate, which motor, how many remotes and how many buttons. After that you get a clear quote from us.
Three tips for committees, from experience:
- Keep a list — who received a remote and when. When a resident moves out, the remote stays with the building.
- Know in advance what happens when a remote is lost — on some systems a single remote can be deleted from the control unit, on others the only option is to reset all remotes and register them again. Better to know before it happens.
- Order a few spares — keeping two or three in the committee's drawer costs far less than an urgent call-out every time.
How much does gate remote duplication cost?
The price depends on the type of remote, the gate and the system — and it is agreed on the phone before we set off:
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Remote duplication for an electric gate, car-park gate or barrier | from ₪150 |
| Orders of more than 10 remotes (building committee) | discounted |
* The final price depends on the remote model and the type of gate. Building committees — contact us for an initial scoping call and we will come back with a quote.
Old remote starting to fail? Check this before duplicating
- Do you have to get close to the gate before it opens? That is almost always a weak battery in the remote. A new battery costs far less than a new remote.
- Only one button stopped working? Sometimes the contact under the button wears out. Worth checking before replacing the whole remote.
- Every remote in the building stopped working at once? Then the problem is most likely the gate's control unit or motor, not the remotes — and that needs a gate technician.
